How Google’s Category Filter Improves Organic SEO Searches?

Google’s Category Filter Improves Organic SEO Searches

Google continuously tries to provide users with more relevant search results. In its latest attempt, the search engine introduces category filters in some selected search queries.

The attempt is definitely meant to bring more relevant search results to users. Introduction of this new element has triggered confusion to certain extent. In order to shed light on the topic and remove confusion, let us first take a look at how searches turn out to be on Google.

It is not easy to shortlist this search result. If you do not add the important keyword, “kids” to the search string, the result only narrows down to product type.
The swimsuit image that is displayed here is inappropriate to pop up, when you are searching for “kids clothing”. When you click through, there is even more confusion for you to face.

The images and the shopping ads that come up at this stage are just not suitable for children. Search result for “baby clothing” is also filtered in the same way. Actually, organic results, basically, target much revealing swimwear for young attractive women and not for children. As per a best SEO Company in India, to put it in easier words, none of the products displayed in the organic search result is suitable for children.

Google is facing some filtering issues in seo search that are related to the breadcrumb concept. As and when a user narrows down a category, for some reason known only to Google, it filters that result through “children’s television series”, which is completely irreverent. So seo services providers in India are also confused with this issue too.

Moreover, it may also display results related to doggies clothing.

Now, if you click on the raincoat, as displayed in the SERP carousel, instead of showing raincoats for dogs, Google will display raincoats for humans.

Interestingly, Google automatically drops the filters men/women/girls/kids from the search query. However, it does not drop those filters in mobile searches.

So as per SEO Services in India, Google needs to plug this loophole. Meanwhile, the filtering feature makes the search results undeniably irrelevant.
